Swell Investing is kicking off 2018 with a new take on our popular Purpose Meets Profit series: We're taking the show on the road! Our first trip is to Portland, OR for a celebration of International Women's Day on March 8th.

Our Purpose Meets Profit events are all about bringing together local, socially conscious entrepreneurs to talk about how they do business at the intersection of success and intention. We've put together an amazing panel and we can't wait to learn from them. Check it out:

Kara Solomonides, adidas

Kara is the US lead for adidas brand sustainability. In this role, she is responsible for brand strategic growth, education and awareness, as well as US consumer communications and marketing surrounding adidas' global sustainability efforts. Consistently named to Forbes' "World's Most Sustainable Companies" list, adidas is a household name making change.

Tracy Puhl, GladRags

Tracy is the president & owner of GladRags, a Portland company whose mission is to positively transform the experience of menstruation with reusable period products. A firm believer in the campsite rule and leaving everything a little better than you found it, Tracy is an active volunteer in her community. Tracy also offers business coaching and mentoring services to micro-enterprises and solopreneurs.

Georgia Lee Hussey, Modernist Financial

Georgia is the founder of Modernist Financial, a place where creative inheritors, entrepreneurs, and retirees become educated and empowered around money through the process of financial life planning. Modernist is proud to be a Certified B-Corporation™, as well as a fee-only, fiduciary.

Jude Gerace, Sugar Wheel Works

Jude is the founder of Sugar Wheel Works. The inspiration came in 2008 during a three-month bicycle tour of Patagonia, when she decided to create a business that provides high-quality wheels tailored to each rider and first-class customer service - but also follows sustainable practices, contributes to the community, and is a great place to work.

Not sure what to expect?

We’ve done these events monthly since launch, and they’re hugely popular with our Southern California hometown crowd. Our most recent event featured a panel of beauty entrepreneurs all in different stages of their success. Watch Corey Weiss of ipsy, Justine Lassoff of Love Goodly, and Matt Shubin of Pure Malibu talk shop.

We’ve got a limited number of tickets available for our March 8th event in Portland, so grab your seat now! RSVP here: Purpose Meets Profit: Portland edition
