It’s that time again. As the summer sun sets, we’re tidying up our portfolios.

Not too, too many big changes, but you’ll definitely want to catch up with the freshest additions.

What is a quarterly rebalance, anyway?

Each quarter, Swell’s impact team reviews the portfolio holdings to make sure the companies are up to snuff with our standards, while working to optimize the risk/return profile.

CLEAN WATER

What’s new? We’ve added 1 and removed 1 company. See all>

Forterra, Inc. is a Texas based company specializing in water-related infrastructure applications, including water transmission, distribution, and drainage.

DISEASE ERADICATION

What’s new? We’ve added 8 companies. See all>

MyoKardia, Inc.  is a San Francisco based biopharmaceutical company. It engages in the discovery, development, and commercialization of targeted therapies for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

GREEN TECHNOLOGY

What’s new? We’ve removed 1 company. See all>

We have removed Avista Corporation because it has been acquired by Hydro One, a Canadian company that trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). Therefore, it is no longer eligible for us to hold.

HEALTHY LIVING

What’s new? We’ve added and removed 2 companies. See all>

San Francisco based iRhythm Technologies engages in the development of monitoring and diagnostic solutions to detect cardiac arrhythmias. It provides ambulatory electrocardiogram, or ECG, monitoring for patients at risk for arrhythmias.

RENEWABLE ENERGY

Allentown, PA company, PPL Corporation  generates, transmits, and distributes electricity in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and the United Kingdom. PPL employs smart grid technologies throughout their distribution network – plus, they've developed one of the first industrial-scale battery storage facilities in the UK.

ZERO WASTE

What’s new? We’ve added 1 and removed 2 companies. See all>

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. creates products that are used in wastewater and air pollution control systems, decreasing the amount of sludge in landfills and sulfur oxide in the atmosphere. Their magnesium oxide product can also be used to neutralize nuclear waste.
